How AI Voice Split works

  1. Add your recording. A podcast, interview, meeting or video — audio or video, up to 10 minutes.
  2. Split the voices. Tell us how many people are talking, or leave it on Auto. AI finds who spoke when.
  3. Download each voice. Name the speakers and download each one as a WAV file — keeping the timing, or only their parts — plus the transcript.

Made for

  • Podcasts · edit each host separately
  • Interviews · pull out the guest’s answers
  • Meetings · who said what, with a transcript
  • Videos · separate voice tracks for editing
  • Subtitles · SRT with speaker names

Frequently asked questions

How do I separate the voices in a podcast or interview?

Open AI Voice Split, add your recording (audio or video, up to 10 minutes), choose how many people are talking or leave it on Auto, and click Split voices. AI finds who spoke when, and you download each person’s voice as its own file.

What files can I use?

Audio such as MP3, M4A or WAV, or a video such as MP4, MOV or WebM — the sound is taken from the video. Recordings can be up to 10 minutes; trim longer ones first.

What do I get for each voice?

Two choices per person: “Keep timing” (same length as the recording, silent where others talk — easy to line up in a video editor) and “Only their parts” (just that person, back to back). Both are WAV files cut from your original recording.

Does it work when people talk over each other?

AI Voice Split finds who is speaking when. If two people talk at the same moment, that part is included in both of their files.

Do I also get a transcript?

Yes. You get a transcript with speaker names, as text or as SRT subtitles. Rename the speakers first and the names are used everywhere.

Is my recording stored?

No. Only a small speech-only copy is sent to our AI provider to find who spoke when. The voice files are cut from your original on your device, and nothing is kept.

Is AI Voice Split free?

Splitting a recording uses 3 credits, returned if it can’t be done. New accounts get starting credits and you can earn more by sharing Chapalta Studio. It’s free during the beta.
